You’ll be challenged to apply your expert-level understanding of medium-to-large enterprise networks. You’ll be using your knowledge to design, build, install, implement and trouble-shoot complex networking and communications environments. You will work closely with your clients, providing technical advice and know-how, as well as maintaining responsibility for the ultimate transfer of knowledge to client staff. Your ability to efficiently multi-task within diverse client environments will be the key to quality performance.
You will work with clients in the greater Washington DC and Maryland area and typically commute to a client site, so you must have a valid driver’s license.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Current Cisco certifications are required. CCNP, CCIE, CCSP or CCVP certifications preferred.
- Excellent communication and writing skills and a consultative aptitude for working with clients. Consulting experience should include leading onsite projects and developing productive relationships with clients.
- A minimum of 8+ years of progressively responsible experience with demonstrated highest level of technical achievements in complex networking environments.
- Solid experience in designing and deploying network-based security features. Strong working knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and SIMS. Able to apply security concepts to other technologies such as IP telephony, wireless networking and e-commerce. Familiarity with current threats, attacks and mitigations. Conversant with security management practices and policy development. Knowledge of Cisco security technologies such as NAC, CSA, CSM, MARS and Ironport a plus.
