Web Sharepoint Developer

Job Location: Eau Claire, WI

Department: Business Education Center

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Applications Manager, the web Sharepoint developer has primary responsibility for managing the Intranet/Internet environment, working with employees across the company, gathering requirements and developing, designing and building solutions to implement new web features and functionality. You will maintain the existing Intranet/Internet, analyze business requirements and serve as a resource for project teams in the area of web technologies.

* Assist in seeking outside resources through grant acquisitions and CVTC Foundation fundraising.
* Participate in professional development and life-long learning endeavors.

Accountability
* Daily monitoring and administration of intranet/internet
* Design and build new web pages, features and functionality
* Work with IT and business users to develop architectural guidelines
* Define business requirements, implement innovative solutions, and solve business problems
* Track business trends, serve as key resource to identify new technologies

Responsibility
* Web site/web portal design
* Web part design and development
* Integration of InfoPath/Workflow and business documents
* ERP data integration with Intranet
* Relate successfully with students and staff of diverse cultural, social or educational backgrounds

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • MOSS 2007, WSS 3.0, SharePoint Designer.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of HTML, ASP.NET, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint enterprise search and security.
  • Experience in transferring business requirements into functional design.
  • Participate on appropriate college teams and contribute to accomplishing the goals and objectives of the team(s).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interpret and explain information to a variety of persons and groups.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently toward department goals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities, community agencies, and the general public.
  • Ability to use judgment, discretion, and decision making skills in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to various campuses.
  • Employment with CVTC is contingent upon successful completion of background check(s).
Necessary Training and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field required.
  • 6+ years of web development experience.
  • 3+ years of Microsoft .Net experience.
  • 2+ years of Internet/Intranet web design and development.
  • 5+ years of IT system development experience.
  • 2 years of SharePoint experience, one year of SharePoint design.
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Sharepoint technologies required.

Full-time leadership position

Location:
This position is located at the Business Education Center, Clairemont Campus in Eau Claire and provides services to all our campuses throughout the eleven county district.

Work Hours:
Salaried position

Salary:
Total compensation including salary and benefits for this position are expected to be approximately 100k. The salary range for this position is anticipated $65,000-$75,000.
This represents a 48-week contract spread over a 52-week fiscal year.
