Job Description:
The City of Garden City, KS is accepting applications for POLICE OFFICER. Lateral entries are encouraged. The GCPD is a highly professional & progressive agency which offers many opportunities for career development. A $1000.00 Sign On Bonus is now being offered to all individuals hired as Police Officers and Police Dispatchers.
Selection Process:
Includes written test, psychological eval., medical exam, oral board interview, background investigation, polygraph & urinalysis/drug screen.
Testing for Police Officer will be held on the following dates, February 13, March 20, April 17, May 15, June 12, July 17, August 14, September 11, October 16, November 13 and December 11, 2007.
Lateral Entry Requirements:
Must be a current certified Police Officer with at least two years of continuous experience as a sworn Police Officer. The starting salary depends on experience.
Salary Range:
$29,373 to $44,939 annually.
