Job Description:
The City of Garden City is accepting applications for the position of SOLID WASTE/ RECYCLE DRIVER in the Public Works Department.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. One (1) year experience in driving and operating heavy equipment. Valid Kansas Class CDL Driver's License required or ability to obtain one within six (6) months of hire. Applicant must make available drug testing history and pass drug test. Knowledge of occupational hazards, and safety practices and procedures. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions. Ability to perform physical labor under varying weather conditions. Ability to communicate with City employees and the general public.
Salary Range:
$10.13 to $14.96 plus an excellent benefit package.
