Position Summary:
This position provides daily production support and administration of EDI systems, monitoring EDI traffic and resolving technical issues. The position will also be responsible for new EDI projects, which will include gathering requirements, defining specifications, designing solutions, and coding, testing and implementing new mappings. Additionally, the position will help to set direction for future EDI opportunities in regards to tools, partners, and technologies.
Major Job responsibilities/accountabilities:
1. Assure timely and correct EDI systems.
2. Develop and test EDI maps
3. Develop and test integration workflow processes.
4. Follow production system change control standards.
5. Create interdepartment processes for production issues.
6. Perform assessments and make recommendations on EDI and integration software.
7. Develop requirements and design documents for EDI and integration business requirements.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Maintain contact with professional associations, standard boards and other companies; keep abreast of technology changes and research emerging technologies. Maintain strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal, writing skills and excellent team participation. Good leadership skills for both internal and external activities.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum applied EDI experience of 3+ years experience with industry standard EDI document types and versions. A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a combination of education and work experience. Ability to pick up new technologies and grow personal skill set with technologies. Ability to pick up new technologies and grow personal skill set with technologies. Ability to assist coordinating technology issues between users and Information Services.
JOB DIMENSIONS:
Recommit, install and maintain EDI solutions that provide a consistency of service, and function while adhering to the policies and standards of the Information Services department. Follow and document projects in compliance with control processes and procedures.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
Delivering of systems on-time and on-budget.
The resolution of technical issues in a timely manner.
Appropriately document and test systems before they are moved to the production environment.
OTHER INFORMATION:
May require travel (limited), ability to work flexible hours (i.e. long days and holidays)
