Position Summary:
The Industrial Products Sales Manager is responsible for the planning and organization of industrial product sales increases throughout his/her assigned territory and customer base of responsibility. Extensive travel is required.
Requirements:
1. Develops, gains approval of and implements objectives and budgets for his/her area of responsibility.
2. Develops, gains approval and manages the sales objectives for his/her territory.
3. Maintains direct contact with major accounts through business travel within assigned territory of responsibility.
4. Through contact and travel with the sales reps, ensure that adequate coverage and time is given to each manufacturer's rep territory and evaluate performance of Stearns manufacturers' rep force.
5. Confers with V.P of Industrial Sales in the development of marketing policy.
6. Assists in the development and recommends product, product line revisions and pricing for products sold to the Industrial / Commercial market.
7. Assists and collaborates with sales staff members such as sales promotion, training or market research in planning and executing special projects and programs.
8. Confers with V.P. of Industrial in the effective use of advertising and promotions.
9. Prepares annual sales forecasts and participates in the determination of market potential.
10. Prepares special and regular sales reports as required on a timely basis.
11. Selects and develops distributor channels within assigned territory of responsibility.
12. Participates in customer service activities as required within region.
13. Attends trade show, conferences and other promotional activities as required.
14. Provides leadership, role model, and participation necessary to facilitate continuous process improvement in the company's Pathway to Excellence plan.
15.Participate in injury prevention, promoting safety and maintaining a neat and orderly workplace. Follow Stearns Code of Safe Practices.
16. Performs miscellaneous other assignments as required.
