Medical Technologist - Night Shift

This job reports to the Technical Manager - Night Shift

Relocation is negotiable and travel is not required.

This is a Full-Time position, working 3rd Shift.

Overview
This position is full-time (80 hours per pay, 3rd shift at our hospital facility. Work hours are 11pm - 7:30am, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

The Medical Technologists on our Night Shift are responsible for following department policies and procedures as they:

1. Accurately and Efficiently perform and report patient testing in the areas of chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and blood transfusion.

2. Recognize problems with instruments, reagents, test results and/or supplies and initiate problem solving procedures.

3. Address client-related questions and problems in a courteous and efficient manner.

Each night, our technologists work together to support the medical and nursing staff of Miami Valley Hospital (a 800 bed facility with a Level 1 Trauma Center). We are a close-knit, flexible team that multi-tasks well. We provide great laboratory care for our patients.


Job Skills/Requirements
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Medical Technology (Clinical Laboratory Science) with ASCP certification.
