Summary:
Maintains the service, cleanliness, and availability of the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. Provides professional, competent, and prompt service to guests.

Qualifications:
Essential:
1) 2 experience in fine restaurant kitchens.
2) Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment.
3) Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
4) Desire to learn and offer satisfactory customer service.
5) Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
6) Ability to provide legible communication.
7) Ability to do basic arithmetic.
Desirable:
1) High school graduate or equivalent.
2) Customer service experience.
3) Must have 2 years experience
Skills:
Essential:
1) Ability to carry out standards, policies, and procedures.
2) Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
3) Ability to be a clear thinker in pressure situations and exercise good judgments.
4) Ability to focus attention on details.
5) Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
6) Ability to ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Report to work on time and in full uniform.
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards.
- Date all food containers and rotate as per SOP.
- Practice safety standards at all times.
- Cook orders as per chit from server. Handle any special request of guests in a positive manner.
- Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to prepare over estimated needs.
- Practice sanitation standards at all times. Make sure that all perishables are being kept at the proper temperatures.
- Properly portion all items on your assigned station.
- Control food waste loss and usage per SOP. Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems.
- Check pars for shift use; determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages. Assists in keeping buffet stocked.
- Assist in prep work of vegetables and condiments as required for the next shift.
- Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
- Understand and apply 39-point checklist.
- Each associate is expected to carry out reasonable requests by management, which the associate is capable of performing.
- Each associate will be required to follow the rules as found in the Concord Hospitality Handbooks.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
