Position Description

Develops and completes engineering layouts and drawings. Works with design & engineering team to document needed changes on existing products. Tasking will include; document engineering changes, create and maintain detail drawings, create and maintain assembly drawings, calculate dimensions, allowances and technical specifications involved in accordance with established practices, evaluate tolerance stack-up issues as needed, coordinate necessary ECO, and development changes for seamless new product introduction, perform solid modeling/drafting duties as needed, assist in creating bill of materials and specification sheets and other duties as assigned. Job requires attention to detail and with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to work in environments experiencing routine and rapid change working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Education Requirements

Associate degree in Mechanical Design/Drafting or equivalent experience.

Experience Requirements

3+ years drafting experience in Sheet Metal, CNC part, plastic part, and wiring layout. Must have knowledge in Solidworks/Solidworks EPDM and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance. Must have knowledge of design, development, test engineering, and manufacturing processes as well as basic understanding of metal working tools and processes. Experience with Microsoft Office products is required. Familiarity with Government Documentation and Technical Data Packages are a plus as well as familiarity with Inventor and AutoCAD.
