Job Description:
Compass Systems, Inc. is a profitable, growing company focused on military systems, avionics, and imagery/surveillance systems. We are seeking an ambitious Senior Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience.
Provide support in the design, development, and implementation of Web and handheld PDA based software components using .NET applications. Perform requirements analysis, application design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation for system applications. Provide maintenance and content management for Internet websites. Participate in project planning and discuss technical requirements with government clients. Maintain and create databases, tools and agents for use across several Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) projects. Participate on application development project teams and evaluate and rewrite existing code based upon new system requirements or changes in operating systems. Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software to develop automated asset management applications. Must be resourceful with the ability to take limited information and utilize experience to produce desired results.
Skills Desired:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT-related curriculum
• A minimum of 3 years experience
• Experience in the development of .NET Web applications utilizing technologies such as C#.NET, ASP.NET, and AJAX
• SQL Server 2000 and/or SQL Server 2005 database design/programming experience
• ADO.NET
• XML
• .NET Compact Framework
• Experience designing and developing handheld (PDA) applications
• Pocket PC, Windows Mobile and/or Windows CE .NET experience
• Familiarity with automated identification technologies such as linear and two-dimensional barcodes, RFID, biometrics
• UML software design
• Adobe Photoshop CS
• Smart Device Framework
• C / C++
• Candidate must be US citizen and possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
