Communication Specialist I
Job Location: Greenville, SC
Job Summary:
Provides call response for 911 emergency and non-emergency calls. Operate radio channels for the Police and Fire departments. Enter call and field activity information into a Computer Aided Dispatch system. Operate the National Crime Information Computer (NCIC).
Must be a high school graduate (or equivalency) with the ability to learn and apply new skills in the area of radio communication relative to emergency services. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is required with six months to one year experience in data entry or other clerical work involving computer use desired. Applicants must be able to work 12 hour day or night shifts with every other 3 day weekend off. Testing will be conducted as openings occur.
