Firefighter
Job Location: Greenville, SC
Job Summary:
Handles a variety of duties related to fire prevention, fire suppression, and fire safety. Inspect commercial structures to prevent fires. Attend training to become familiar with and updated on various aspects of fire science, prevention, and suppression. Respond to a variety of emergencies to reduce the loss of life and property. Develop business pre-fire plans to become familiar with structures. Demonstrate safety and emergency practices to the community to promote fire safety and prevention.
Must be 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, vision in each eye must be at least 20/40 uncorrected. No convictions in court and have a valid SC driver's license with a good driving record. Must pass a physical strength and agility test. Fire Service Technology Certificate from a community college or technical school is preferred. Testing will be conducted as openings occur.
