Planning and Grants Manager – Transit Department
Job Location: Greenville, SC
Summary:
Day to day responsibility is to ensure that the transit function conducts all business and activities in accordance with all the requirements associated with the program management regulations of the US Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, the SC Department of Transportation, Division of Mass Transit and local funding program grantors. The Planning and Grants Manager also prepares and submits planning documents, grants management reports and statistical and other data as may be required by grantors. Coordinates with other departments to organize and manage transit capital improvement projects as well as special projects assigned by the Transit and Parking Director. Provides staff support to the GTA Development Committee. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Planning or Transit Planning; six months to one year of experience in grants research/writing; experience in writing Federal grant applications; and experience in managing Federal grants. A valid SC Driver’s License and good oral and written communication skill is needed.
