JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Make plumbing, electrical and general repairs to buildings, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical machinery and equipment.
- Conduct fabrication maintenance.
- Cut and join metal parts using a variety of techniques.
- Weld and cut all types of material using electric arc, oxyacetylene, or other welding techniques in horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Assist skilled workers in one or more trades by performing specific or generally complicated duties.
- Operate forklift.
- Must maintain tools provided by the company and furnish own tools to function properly in this classification.
- Keep records on machines.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have basic knowledge hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical machinery.
- Be able to use & interpret specification and prints as well as verbal instructions.
- Must have skills to make electrical, plumbing and general repairs to buildings, machinery, or equipment under close supervision.
- Must have skills needed to do fabrication, maintenance, joining and cutting of ferrous and nonferrous metal parts and structures using a variety of techniques.
- Must know how to weld and cut all types of material using electric arc, oxyacetylene, or other welding techniques in horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
- Able to obtain forklift operator’s license
- Available to work at other facilities, weekends, other shifts and to be on call.
- Requires the ability to read, write, perform simple math and follow instructions.
- High School diploma required
- 1 to 3 years work relative experience
- Effective written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrated support of company mission statement and value list.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn all production areas.
- Self-starter with High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read a tape measure, do basic mathematical calculations and use a calculator.
- Ability to learn production operations.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to twist, bend and reach to perform job duties.
- Ability to work while being exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.
- Follow procedures and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
- Be detailed and customer oriented.
- Ability to learn internal Enterprise Resource Planning System.
- Ability and willingness to work various shifts

VACATION/PERSONAL DAY POLICY
One personal day will be accrued on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st after 90 days of full-time employment.
MEDICAL & DENTAL INSURANCE
Employees are eligible for medical and dental insurance on the first day of the month following 30 days of full-time employment.
CAFETERIA PLAN
A cafeteria plan exists enabling employees to pay insurance premiums with pre-tax dollars. In addition, a medical savings account and childcare account are available within the cafeteria plan.
EMPLOYEE STOCK OWNERSHIP PLAN (E.S.O.P.)
CSMI is an employee owned company and employees receive stock allocations based on a percentage of wages in years they qualify based on the details of the plan.
401(k)
A 401(k) plan is in place for all employees who want to participate. The company will match 100% of the first 4% of wages the employee contributes to 401(k). An employee is eligible to enter the plan at the beginning of each quarter after the 90-day probationary period. Vesting in the company contribution is over a period of six years in which the participant works at least 1,000 hours per year. The employee is always 100% vested in his own contributions.
EDUCATION ASSISTANCE
At CSMI, we recognize that our employees’ skills and knowledge are critical to the success of our company. Therefore, we created our educational assistance program to encourage employees to maintain and improve their job-related skills through formal education. Our educational assistance program is available to all full-time employees who have completed 90 calendar days of service and meet the guidelines of our Education Assistance Policy. The maximum annual payable benefit through this program is $5,250.00 per eligible employee.
