JOB SUMMARY:
Position Title: Backup Rollformer Operator
Responsible for producing quality items in a timely and efficient manner.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform all quality checks and ensure the highest quality in produced items.
- Cross-train as directed and be willing to work at any production position in the plant.
- Be willing and able to work various shifts.
- Complete all other tasks as required or assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or upper management.
- Ensure panel employees work in a safe manner at all times.
- Ensure that coil changes are done as efficiently as possible while maintaining a safety environment.
- Maintain a clean work area at all times.
- Read each bundle tag to ensure that the bundle is what the customer ordered.
- Act professionally as a team player at all times.
- Minimize the amount of waste.
- Responsible for keeping the coil storage area organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned until called upon to operate the roll former.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Self-starter with a high demand for quality.
- Demonstrated support of company goals, values and mission statement.
- Self-starter with High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read a tape measure, do basic mathematical calculations and use a calculator.
- Ability to learn production operations.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to twist, bend and reach to perform job duties.
- Ability to work while being exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.
- Follow procedures and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
- Be detailed and customer oriented.
- Ability to learn internal Enterprise Resource Planning System.
- Ability and willingness to perform all additional duties as assigned.
- Ability and willingness to work various shifts.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for supporting the production and loading in all areas of the plant.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support the production and loading in ALL areas of the plant as needed.
- Follow all plant safety procedures and use all applicable personal protective gear.
- Perform all quality checks and ensure the highest quality in produced items in all departments.
- Cross-train as directed and be willing to work at any production position in the plant.
- Be willing and able to work various shifts.
- Complete all other tasks as required or assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or upper management.
- Follow all of the procedures in the CSMI loading manual.
- Assure that the truck’s load in compliance with DOT and CSM Company guidelines.
- Ability to operate a forklift, trucks, and cranes in a safe and proficient manner.
- Read each bundle tag to ensure that the bundle is what the customer ordered.
- Act professionally as a team player at all times.
- Operate machinery required in the trim department as needed
- Meet or exceed area goals established for production in all areas assigned.
- Be willing to work various shifts if necessary.
- Must complete all duties assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to learn all production and loading operations and functions.
- Be helpful, follow procedures, learn quickly, and be detail and customer oriented.
- Previous work history in all production areas and loading a plus.
- Effective written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrated support of company mission statement and value list.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn all production areas.

VACATION/PERSONAL DAY POLICY
One personal day will be accrued on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st after 90 days of full-time employment.
MEDICAL & DENTAL INSURANCE
Employees are eligible for medical and dental insurance on the first day of the month following 30 days of full-time employment.
CAFETERIA PLAN
A cafeteria plan exists enabling employees to pay insurance premiums with pre-tax dollars. In addition, a medical savings account and childcare account are available within the cafeteria plan.
EMPLOYEE STOCK OWNERSHIP PLAN (E.S.O.P.)
CSMI is an employee owned company and employees receive stock allocations based on a percentage of wages in years they qualify based on the details of the plan.
401(k)
A 401(k) plan is in place for all employees who want to participate. The company will match 100% of the first 4% of wages the employee contributes to 401(k). An employee is eligible to enter the plan at the beginning of each quarter after the 90-day probationary period. Vesting in the company contribution is over a period of six years in which the participant works at least 1,000 hours per year. The employee is always 100% vested in his own contributions.
EDUCATION ASSISTANCE
At CSMI, we recognize that our employees’ skills and knowledge are critical to the success of our company. Therefore, we created our educational assistance program to encourage employees to maintain and improve their job-related skills through formal education. Our educational assistance program is available to all full-time employees who have completed 90 calendar days of service and meet the guidelines of our Education Assistance Policy. The maximum annual payable benefit through this program is $5,250.00 per eligible employee.
