JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring that coils are changed in a timely fashion and that items produced are bundled and wrapped in a safe and efficient manner.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• While catching panels, perform quality checks on a consistent basis.
• Wrap bundles according to customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Ensure Kraft Paper, Scrim Paper, Cardboard flats, Cardboard strips, and banding material is fully stocked.
• Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
• Coil changes are made in the timeliest, but safest manner possible.
• Read each bundle tag to insure the customer is receiving what is ordered.
• Act professionally as a team player at all times.
• Minimize the amount of waste by acting in a professional manner. (Tape, scrim paper, steel)
• Ensure that retail second bundles are processed properly.
• Transport bundles to the loading area correctly.
• Report any damage to your rollformer operator or shift coach.
• Complete all additional tasks that may be assigned by direct supervisor and/or higher management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Self-starter with a high demand for quality and possess a sense of urgency.
• Cross Train and learn panel production and Trim operations as assigned.
• Demonstrated support of company goals, values and mission statement.
• Self-starter with High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure, do basic mathematical calculations and use a calculator.
• Ability to learn production operations.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to twist, bend and reach to perform job duties.
• Ability to work while being exposed to outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.
• Follow procedures and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
• Be detailed and customer oriented.
• Ability to learn internal Enterprise Resource Planning System.
• Ability and willingness to perform all additional duties as assigned.
• Ability to work any shift.
