Description
The Staff Psychiatrist will provide professional pediatric and adolescent psychiatry services for patients of DePelchin Psychiatric Services (DPS) including: intake assessments and psychiatric/medical evaluations, medication management, individual and family psychotherapy, consultation with DePelchin Childrens Center program staff, DPS administration and parents, on-call coverage for client care, back-up psychiatric coverage and maintenance of appropriate documentation. This position may provide services at DePelchin Psychiatric Services practice sites such as DePelchin Children`s Center residential treatment facilities, counseling centers and community partner locations.
Requirements
M.D. degree
Valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas required.
Board Eligible or Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry required.
Obtain and maintain all appropriate approvals to prescribe and dispense drugs under applicable federal and state laws required.
