KRM Construction Company is looking for a carpenter trainee to join the team in Chestertown, MD. This is a year round position with full benefits. Candidates may have previous experience working in the construction field but candidates willing to learn the construction trade with a good attitude should also apply . As a carpenter trainee you will perform general duties on construction projects, learn to read blue prints, measure, cut or shape wood, and other materials as well as general carpentry skills. A high school education or equivalent is required.

- Learn the construction trade
- Operate hand and power tools of all types
- Clean and prepare job sites
- Assist craft workers with framing and other carpentry needs
- Follow proper safety regulations for all phases of the job
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Use basic carpentry mathematics
- Use measuring tools
- Attention to detail
- Follow instructions
- Lift and maneuver up to 70 lbs. consistently over the course of a shift
- Work outside in an outdoor environment
