Mission:
Responsible for second shift; machine production, assembly, personnel, and quality.
Competencies:
- Supervise skilled and semi-skilled workers in set-up and operations of various machines.
- Responsible for machine shop personnel, equipment utilization, maintaining quality, and production scheduling.
- Plans and assigns work in accordance with established schedules.
- Coordinates with other shift supervisors to achieve the flow of production.
- Maintains shop records as to cost of materials, labor, and overhead.
- May recommend changes in equipment, tooling or methods.
- May select, train, discipline or terminate employees.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree.
- Five years of supervisory experience.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of safety in the workplace is preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
- Superior attendance record.
