Job Description
Job Title: Sales Assistant Administrator
Reports To: Sales Manager
Characteristics: Detail Oriented, Math Competency, Spreadsheet (Excel) , Excellent Communication Skills - Written and Spoken, SAP Experience.
Applicants with a National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) are preferred. For more information on how to acquire a National Career Readiness Certificate, contact a South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) Local Office.
Responsibilities:
Sales Order Entry
  • Accept order details from various sources and enter specific information into all required information systems and computer locations.
  • Deliver to external customers all required Sales Order Documentation.
  • Deliver to external users all required Sales Order Information.
Customer Maintenance
  • Enter new customers and maintain current customers in all required information systems.
  • Coordinate credit information between customers and DP Credit, as required.
Item Maintenance
  • In coordination with Sales, Production, and R&D, verifies that all appropriate, required, specific item information is entered for new item numbers.
  • Maintain any changes to any existing item numbers, verifying the accuracy of any alterations.
Inventory Maintenance
  • Monitor inventories of #2 products and provide Sales with information helpful in moving this product out of DP ownership.
  • Monitor all FP/RTE on-hand inventories and inform Sales of possible need to freeze or sell unsold items.
  • Monitor inventories at outside locations and verify billing information related to those inventories.
  • Maintain all information system data concerning transfer of inventories from one location to another.
Invoicing Procedure
  • Assemble all required Sales Order shipment data, verify the data`s accuracy, and deliver to DP Invoicing in a timely manner.
  • Via internal audit procedures, verify that all products shipped from any company inventory has appropriate detailed paperwork and that this infomation has been delivered to DP Invoicing.
