This job reports to the Refrigeration Team Leader and Rel Coordinator

Relocation is not provided and travel is not required.

This is a Full-Time position, working 1st Shift.

Overview
Dow Corning, a U.S. based, multinational corporation and global leader in the silicon-based industry seeks a Refrigeration Journeyperson for a position at our Midland, Michigan facility.

Must have un-restricted employment authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Skills/Requirements
Apply principles of refrigeration, heating, A/C, ventilation and electricity to analyze and repair various problems on large, low temperature, critical process refrigeration equipment, comfort HVAC systems and various exhaust system controls. Install, start/stop, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and overhaul large, low-temperature, critical process refrigeration equipment unique to Midland Plant. This would also include servicing and troubleshooting various sizes of commercial refrigeration units, exhaust system controls and other related equipment. Must also perform various preventative maintenance tasks to ensure maximum on-line time.

Desired Qualification:
Experience working in a manufacturing plant environment and must be flexible. Good/solid mechanical aptitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of, and experience using hand and power tools, tools of the refrigeration/HVAC trade, and computerized HVAC control systems. Journeyman status in the Refrigeration/HVAC trade with 4 years of experience. Journeyman must be EPA certified to handle various refrigerants. Must be committed to Dow Corning procedures and initiatives such as: Safety, productivity, cost, quality and customer satisfaction. Must be a self-motivated individual and be able to work in a team environment.
