Ski School Terrain Garden Supervisor

Purpose Of Position:
· Take care of the guest. Pleasantly greets and makes eye contact with guests. Listens and responds appropriately to guests needs
· Take care of the company. Willingness to adapt to changes in our business environment and business flow. Demonstrates support for organizational goals and mission
· Take care of each other. Ability to engage and cooperate with all company employees. Builds and maintains work relationships. Displays a level of respect to all employees at all times. Actively resolves any workplace conflicts
· Insure the safety of the guests and employees at and around the Sunkid lifts and other Terrain Features
Job Qualifications:
· Minimum of one-year supervisor experience required.
· Minimum of high intermediate skiing ability level.
· Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
· Weekend and holiday work required.
· Must have excellent communication skills with guests and employees and be a reliable self starter.
· Must be 18 years old
· Spanish speaking/comprehension would be helpful
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supervise terrain garden staff and participate in daily operations of Ski School
* Will assist in hiring, training, and evaluating terrain garden staff
* Maintain inventory and lift operation records
* Maintains a safe work area. i.e. ramp issues, tools stored when not in use, mazes set up properly
* Performs expected amount of snow work, i.e. shovels sun kid, prepares on and off ramps
* Pleasantly greets, makes eye contact, listens to and responds appropriately to guest and instructor needs
* Deals with conflict appropriately and models professionalism
* Builds and maintains working relationships on all levels
* Displays respect for all employees at all times
* Willing to assist others as needed
* Demonstrates teamwork ethic
* Takes initiative to be self-directed, follows through on assigned tasks and completes them in a timely manner
* Completes all paperwork efficiently and legibly
* Pays attention to details
* Follows departmental procedures
* Willing to adapt to changes in business flow
* Supports the company goals and mission statement
* Follows company policies, i.e. punctuality, attendance, uniform issues, parking, etc.
* Adheres to all skiing policies, i.e. Skier Responsibility Code, no free skiing in uniform, etc.
* Helps move guests on and off Sunkid and supervises Sunkid areas
* Helps with ski school lunches every day. Assists with set-up, serving and clean-up
* Maintains on-hill features; i.e. fencing, signage, children’s specialty trails (enchanted forest, Quincy’s cabin), teaching features on Wide West, (race courses, rollers, etc.). This maintenance requires skiing to the areas while carrying tools, fence, signs, etc.
* Performs other duties as assigned
