Description:
Role:
To help credit union members achieve their long-term financial goals by providing them with exceptional personalized financial planning services and appropriate investment and insurance products.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Offer personalized financial advice leading to long-term relationships based on trust and respect for credit union members. Support all product and campaign launches by collaborating with branch managers and staff to identify and leverage appropriate cross-sell opportunities. Develop and successfully execute an individual Financial Advisor business plan to achieve the various sales goals set forth by the investment program and to reach personal earning goals, while keeping clients' best interests at the forefront of the process. Provide regular feedback to branch staff, program manager, and identified credit union executives regarding effectiveness of sales practices and business development initiatives. Update professional knowledge base regarding latest investment and insurance products available to credit union members and remain current with all professional licensing an continuing education requirements, as well as appropriate rules and regulations specified by NASD, SEC, Florida Department of Financial Services, broker-dealer, and credit union.
Expectations:
1.To actively practice the Community First Core Values.
2.Conduct appointments to identify and evaluate credit union member needs for financial services and open new investment accounts that are appropriate for members based on their individual investment goals, time horizons and tolerance risk.
3.To achieve sales goals in support of department's annual budget and as specified in an individual Financial Advisor
business plan.
4.Cultivate referral business fro credit union staff, current clients, community involvement, and other sources as necessary
to achieve monthly sales goals.
5.Generate a proportional share of department revenue according to annual goals and as specified in Addendum B of the credit union's Registered Representative Employment Agreement.
6.Identify and develop business relationships with key investment and insurance wholesalers.
7.Address and solve business-related challenges as needed.
8.Participate in the credit unions Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and OFAC training and complete all NASD firm element and regulatory element continuing education courses on schedule.
9.Maintain compliance within areas of responsibility, including BSA.
Requirements:
Experience:
Four or more years of experience as a NASD registered representative with a clean U-4 and active Series 7, Series 66 and Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuity licenses. Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation helpful.
Education:
A college degree or higher.
Interpersonal Skills:
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Outside contacts become important for fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Required:

Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation helpful.
Supervisory, PC, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
