Home Loan Consultant

Description:
Saturday hours as necessary, one or more Saturday's per month.
Role:
Marketing 1st mortgage programs to area builders and realtors. Attend scheduled trade shows and perform related duties as assigned. Coordinate efforts with assigned Home Loan Coordinator to insure all established policies are followed to close loans in a timely manner. This position does require some Saturday hours and knowledge of mortgage origination software, preferably Prime Alliance is required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Markets first mortgage products to area builders and Realtors. Regular follow-up with members on applications in process, and keeping members and realtors informed of the status of their loan requests. Establish and maintain effective lines of communication with mortgage staff and sales manager. Attend Realtor/ Builder business events as they become apparent. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Expectations:

2. Makes underwriting recommendations on individual mortgage files according to departmental standards for quality and turn time.
3. Consistently monitors and tracks individual file production to ensure turn times and volume goals are met.
4. Maintains knowledge of all mortgage products and rates, both within Community First and from the industry overall.
5. Supports department operations by assisting with projects and objectives as required.
6. To consistently ensure professional quality service to members, associates and business partners.
7. To assist in achieving department internal quality service goals.
8. Maintain compliance within areas of responsibility including BSA.
9. Develop relationships with Realtors/Builders and identify other sources of business for Community 1st.
10. Working knowledge of mortgage software.
11. Serve the needs of members and potential Members as required.
12. Become active member of NEFAR or other realtor related professional organization.
13. Maintain a professional work environment & businesslike appearance.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience:
Two years to five years of similar or related experience. Established realtor/builder contacts.
Education:
A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
Interpersonal Skills:
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills:
Strong background in sales and established Realtor to Builder relationships are required. Some Saturday hours are required.

Salary Range:
$27,000 plus commission
