Hours: *Saturday hours 9:00-5:00pm or as scheduled one or more Saturday’s per month.

Role:
Coordinates department activities and supervises teller operations of a medium branch. Assist members with their financial transactions and promote increased usage of other credit union products and services beneficial to members while maintaining confidentiality.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow policy and procedures regarding check cashing, cash ordering and check holds within authority and be knowledgeable of endorsements and identifications required to process financial transactions in an effort to avoid fraud. Receives and processes deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier checks, credit card and loan advances, travelers cheques, transfer requests and other file maintenance transactions according to policy and procedure. Balances cash drawer and transactions. Responsible for training and developing tellers. Preparing performance evaluations. Establishes, maintains and tracks goals specific to the individual, promotions and branch operating plans. Resolves member problems. Assigns work and lunch schedules and review time sheets. Train department personnel in offering/promoting credit union accounts/services. Greets members and provides information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service. Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks.

Expectations:
1. To actively practice the Community First Credit Union of Florida Core Values in relation to Members, Employees, Community, Responsibility, Trust, Respect and Reliability.
2. To insure department is providing friendly, professional, personal service to all members, associates and business partners.
3. To insure tellers balance daily, being no more than $10.00 off and with total outages not to exceed $50.00 aggregately in a three month period per teller. To insure counsels, verbal and written warnings are completed in a timely, efficient manner.
4. To maintain a highly qualified staff, sufficient to meet the daily demands of the CU’s members.
5. To keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department/branch.
6. To ultimately score 90% or better on Service Culture assessments.
7. To maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance.
8. To be cross trained in the duties of a Member Service Representative.

Requirements:

Experience: Two to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: Equivalent to a high school education.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of confidentiality, trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work involves motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities companies/departments and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
