Scope of this Position
Position will be responsible for supervising/managing/overseeing the following departments: Kitchen
In preparing for this position, candidate ideally will have worked in at least the following departments or positions: Sous Chef
Requires a minimum of 2 year(s) of supervisory experience.
Requires a minimum of 2-3 year(s) of experience.
This position reports to: Executive Chef
Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.
Job Requirements
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Solid background in banquets preferred.
Technical Requirements:
Teach employees the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation.
Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently.
Consistently check line plating and quality.
Supervise daily food preparation for assigned areas.
Some purchasing experience helpful.
Some experience in budgeting, food cost, labor costs, and scheduling helpful.
Prep, stock, and rotate line to ensure ample supply of products is maintained.
Work closely with wait staff to exceed guest expectations.
Fill in for EC when necessary.
