Job Description:
ESG has a challenging, new opportunity for a Corporate General Counsel with at least 5 years of corporate law experience, preferably within the construction or energy industry. Position provides legal support for project development efforts, contracts, subcontractor agreements, environmental and permitting issues along with providing advice regarding risks, studies, statutes, decisions, and ordinances of judicial and legislative bodies. This person will also act as an agent/representative of the company in legal actions or proceedings. Candidates should have excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written, plus the ability to form strong interpersonal relationships with co-workers. Analytical, mathematical, and scientific problem solving skills are also necessary. A highly motivated, results oriented individual is desired. Candidate will be familiar with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures as this position relies on extensive experience and judgment for planning and accomplishing goals. Position performs a variety of tasks and may lead and/or direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is anticipated. Some travel may be required. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials, have at least 5 years experience, and be/become a member of the Indiana Bar.
