Location: Envision Xpress #55, Lemoore EnvisionXpress Bldg 140 NAS Lemoore 700 Avenger Avenue Lemoore, CA 93246 Department: Retail Description: POSITION SUMMARY (Briefly describe the purpose of the position) Responsible for coordinating deliveries of merchandise with all customers and maintaining appropriate documentation, and ensuring timely maintenance and repairs are performed on delivery vehicle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE (List in order of importance) Make arrangements for deliveries to customers. Load merchandise onto delivery vehicle before heading out on delivery route. Deliver merchandise to customers and obtain delivery receipt signature. Ensure zero damage of merchandise during transit. Perform routine inspections on delivery vehicle, and ensure timely maintenance and repairs are performed as needed. Cross-train on Shipping and Receiving Clerk responsibilities, and serve as back up as needed: o Load and unload trucks with forklift, and move merchandise to appropriate storage areas. o Call trucking company to arrange pick-up of shipments. o Inform Store Manager of forklift maintenance and repairs needed. o Assist Shipping and Receiving Clerk with other duties as needed. Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE (List as required or preferred)
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience: One to two years previous experience in delivery driver position preferred; previous experience in operation of a forklift preferred.
Knowledge/Skills: Ability to drive a delivery vehicle and maintain a current, valid state drivers license and driving record. Proficient knowledge of transportation regulations and procedures. Good math and computer skills. Strong customer service skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently with periodic consultation and direction. Good organization and attention to details.
Licenses/Certifications: Current drivers license and driving record in good standing required.
