Description:
Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice offers companies professional transaction experience. We help clients determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right.
Within TAS, our Valuation group helps clients understand the value of their business, their securities, intellectual property, capital equipment, real estate, intangibles, and other assets. E&Y Valuation is comprised of several key areas, including Business Valuation and Capital Equipment. We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior to join our talented and team-oriented group.
Responsibilities
Serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams, performing valuations for management planning; mergers and acquisitions; financial reporting; tax and regulatory compliance; restructuring and reorganization; and corporate strategy. Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed. Assume a leadership role in report generation and detailed financial modeling. Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with clients.
Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members; mentor others; stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business; and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided.
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must have:
A bachelor's or master's degree in business, finance, or accounting with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, or national valuation firm or experience in the valuation practice of an accounting firm achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA; ASA/AM designations are a plus with the expectation of one completed designation within a given timeframe the ability to manage project expenditures against budget and revenue, and provide the necessary guidance to team members to ensure completion of work deliverables excellent analytical, project-management, communication, interpersonal, and teaming skills PC proficiency including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
