Description
The Communications Manager plays a key role in developing firm communications strategies and materials for key technology initiatives and specific projects. The individual in this role will be responsible for planning, managing, and writing internal communications, as well as end-user technology support materials and learning. The Communications Manager works with other members of IT Communications team, IT leadership, and product and service owners to develop and implement change management strategies using communications and learning. Strong writing, planning and organizational skills required. Must have a passion for communicating, enjoy teamwork, and be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Specifically, the Communications Manager will:
- Collaborate with senior managers and others to identify the purpose, scope, and content of specific communications and support materials.
- Ensure communication and style are consistent with firm branding standards and IT writing style guidelines.
- Manage the work of other team members who are contributing to your project(s).
- Mentor team members.
- Craft technical and business communications that are clear, concise, and well-matched to target groups.
- Communicate complex tasks and technical concepts in written form.
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must have:
- A bachelor’s or master's degree in Communications, English, Journalism or otherwise related discipline.
- Approximately 8-10 years of experience in project management and technical writing.
