Compensation and Benefits Administrator

Job Location: Des Moines, IA

Qualifications:

  • 1 - 3 years of compensation program administration experience including market salary survey completion and job description design.
  • Benefit administration experience preferred.
  • Ability to articulate written materials to others in a factual but simplistic manner.
  • Good math aptitude, written and verbal communication skills in addition to having a focus on details with good analytical abilities.
  • Working knowledge of project and process management tools.
  • Good knowledge and finesse at using Microsoft Office products.
  • Sensitive to working with highly confidential information and exercises sound judgment, sets priorities and is organized.
  • Experience with ADP and Mercer Prism software applications in addition to having experience with using data warehouse systems a plus.
  • Some travel maybe required.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the administration of base compensation and variable reward programs. Responsible for the processing of employee benefits and for providing excellent customer service in response to employee, retiree and leader inquiries. Contribute ideas, information and participate in the development/design of compensation & benefit programs.
  • Great opportunity to participate in a total rework of pension program and is an exciting time to be part of this team! Person will have the benefit of working in a smaller team environment and have the opportunity to accomplish a variety of tasks.
