Structural Engineer

Qualifications:
The candidate should have an engineering degree from an accredited university and have practical engineering experience with a PE license. Some management or mentoring experience would be helpful as the ideal candidate will train and mentor a small design group for a growing privately held company. Note this is a new office, so an entrepreneurial spirit and or some business development experience would be helpful.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Review drawings, plans, and protocol to ensure that design criteria is met. Review drawings and plans from the engineering staff. Stamp the requiring seals as necessary. Review current tests and license and develop additional requirements to further the design of pre-engineered buildings. Develop and assist in tables, charts, or protocol that will assist the engineering staff. Communicate, mentor, train, and assist in the development of a growing engineering staff.

Compensation/Benefits:
$80-110k depending on experience.
