Job Description:
We are assisting our client in the greater Des Moines Western Suburbs with their search for a Java Developer!

The company has developed all of their systems in house.  They do not work on packaged solutions.  This particular client allows for a lot of user interaction.   You will be the face to your customer to help create custom solutions for their technical problems.  Some of the technologies they use to develop web-based applications using java as the primary language are:

Languages:  Java, XSLT, Groovy, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JSP

Java Framework-Libraries:  Spring, JAXB/JAXMe

Applications: Tomcat, Firefox, IBM Content Manager, MQ Series, Eclipse, XML Spy, Android, iPhone

Database: Oracle

Javascript Framework libraries: YUI, Dojo, DWR, JQuery, JQuery Mobile

They embrace the agile methodology in their collaborative environment, when it makes sense for a given project.    They are not an extreme agile shop.

Our client is looking for the right person, not a cookie cutter number of years on a job description.    If you are more junior in your career, they do have team members who are willing to mentor, but they do require 1 – 2 years of core Java expertise.    If you are a more seasoned developer then you will have the autonomy to create your own requirements and architect solutions that impact the business’ bottom line.
