Description:
The Frederick County School System (K-12 enrollment 12,900 student; 24 sites) is seeking applications for a director of guidance who will serve at James Wood High School. The system is technologically sophisticated, maintains modern facilities, has a comprehensive curriculum, and offers a wide range of programs including regional special education and career and technical education offerings.
Qualifications:
Eligible for, or hold, a Postgraduate Professional Virginia License with an endorsement as school counselor. Three to five years of school counseling experience required. Experience as a guidance director preferred.
Responsibilities:
Coordinates the guidance department, supervises the department's counselors, serves as the school's test coordinator, serves on county-wide committees, and oversees the expenditure of allocated funds.
Salary Range:
$48,120-$76,344 (2007-08 salary scale. The 2008-09 salary scale has not been determined)
