$75 per lecture (4 Session Course pays $400)

Any of our locations in Lee & Collier counties, including the FGCU Campus, Miromar Beach Club, Miromar International Design Center, Cypress Cove in Ft. Myers, Cape Coral, Grandezza Country Club in Ft. Myers, Steinway Gallery in Bonita Springs, Tower Pointe in North Naples, Palmira Renaissance Club in Bonita Springs, Marco Island, and the FGCU Naples Center in Naples. We also need faculty to teach at the Bonita Bay communities of Mediterra, The Brooks, Bonita Bay, Twin Eagles, Verandah and Sandoval as well as the WCI community of Pelican Preserve.
Additional materials submitted such as video, tapes, slides, books, etc., are subject to public review under Florida's Public Records law, shall become the property of FGCU, and can not be returned.
Job Description:
The Renaissance Academy is the University's and region's premier adult life-long learning program. It is based on the premise that learning should never cease, that keeping the mind intellectually, creatively and culturally active fundamentally enriches and invigorates our lives. The Renaissance Academy offers single lectures, short courses, day trips, computer classes, film series, and life enrichment courses as part of its rich and varied curriculum at eighteen locations throughout Lee & Collier counties.
Topics:
Interesting, diverse and challenging topics appropriate for a life-long learning program. Lectures in art, business, computers, ecology and environment, history, law and government, life enrichment, literature and language, film, music and dance, philosophy and religion, psychology and sociology, science and medicine and U.S./world affairs are all welcome.
Single lectures, 2-4 lecture short courses or discussion groups. Lectures are usually 60 minutes long plus Q&A.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience or commitment to university teaching; interest in collaborating both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning; and value continued scholarship and service to the school and university.
