Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and three (3) years collegiate coaching experience; or Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of collegiate coaching experience. Must possess the CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within two (2) months of employment. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the country.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution and one year of collegiate coaching experience. Demonstrated commitment to rules/policy compliance, as well as, demonstrated commitment to student-athlete success both academically and athletically.
Special Instructions to Applicants:
The ability to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds. The ability to stoop, bend and stand for long periods of time. The ability to navigate across campus. The ability to work nights and weekends. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the country.

Job Description:
Reports to the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Academics. This position includes responsibilities as Head Women's Golf Coach for the Intercollegiate Athletics program. Responsible for recruiting and coaching student-athletes; retention of student-athletes; scheduling contests and participating in athletic development and fundraising activities, including making speeches. Provides leadership for all aspects of the women's golf program.
Responsible within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics for the interpretation and compliance with all Board of Trustees (BOT), university, conference, and NCAA policies, procedures, rules and regulations regarding intercollegiate athletics. This shall include developing policies and procedures applicable to the assigned sport to ensure compliance of staff and student-athletes to NCAA and Atlantic Sun Conference rules and regulations. Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of NCAA and Atlantic Sun Conference rules and participate in annual continuing education programs including passing the NCAA certification test.
High degree of interaction with private sector in the role of fundraising for the women's golf program. Contacts prospective student-athletes and parents in recruiting role. Speaks at various business and civic group meetings regarding the women's golf program.
Will have access to student data, some of which may be confidential. Responsible for knowing and adhering to State confidentiality laws, FERPA and Sunshine State laws.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of all aspects of the sport of golf and the ability to teach/coach collegiate student-athletes toward acquisition of those skills. Demonstrated management, organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and a strong commitment to maintain compliance with those rules and regulations. A strong commitment to guide student-athletes toward successful completion of an undergraduate degree while participating in intercollegiate athletics.
