Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation in Developmental Psychology; or degree conferred by August 2008. Relevant coursework must include graduate level courses in child development, infant perception or language development, and statistics.

Preferred Qualifications
Trained to use the Bayley Scales of Infant Development III.

This is a longitudinal study funded by the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation with a start date of 06/01/2008 and end date of 05/31/2010.

Job Description
Responsible for the lab's research in auditory-visual perception and word learning in full and pre-term infants (6-months to 1 year old). Responsibilities will include testing of infants in a play paradigm involving mothers and their infants and in habituation procedures; training and supervision of undergraduate psychology majors in all lab activities; and serving as liaison with staff at the Lee County Department of Health, possible training of graduate students, and general day to day lab management.

Opportunities exist for co-authorship on publications and initiation of a project that merges with the Principal Investigator's interest.
