Minimum Qualifications
Graduate degree in nursing with a specialty as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from an accredited institution or equivalent accreditation. Must possess a current clinical competence. Must be national certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Must possess a Florida license or eligible to obtain license by August 2010.
Preferred Qualifications
Earned doctorate in nursing or related discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent accreditation. Advanced Practice Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Three years of teaching experience in baccalaureate or master's level nursing education research experience, and experience with technology in education.

Appointment will be made at a faculty rank commensurate with the candidate's experience on a 12 month multi-year appointment basis available August 2010.

Your initial assignment will include teaching, course and/or curriculum development; involvement on college and University committees and/or initiatives; as well as duties as assigned. Duties
Teaches courses. Conducts scholarly research. Provides service, and related administrative activities. Oversees and manages academic advising. Represents the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience or commitment to the use of technology in distance learning & university teaching. Interest in collaborating both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning. Must value continued scholarship and service to the school and university.
