Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Mathematics from an accredited institution or equivalent accreditation. Must meet the Unversity and College criteria for appointment to the level of Instructor I.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstration of commitment to professional development. Experience with/or demonstrated interest in distance learning. Experience with interdisciplinary teaching &/or learning appropriate to the integration of mathematics with other Arts & Sciences disciplines.

Appointment will be made on a 9-month multi-year appointment basis available August 2010.

General Summary Statement:
Your initial assignment will include teaching; involvement on College and University committees and/or initiatives; as well as other duties as assigned. Florida Gulf Coast University is a comprehensive university dedicated to quality education, research, and service. Duties
Teaches a broad range of lower division undergraduate courses in mathematics and participates in curriculum development and program activities. Assists in the evaluation/implementation of instructional technology. Participates significantly in departmental committee work, liaisons with the local education community, and develops outreach programs to foster mathematics enrollment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience or commitment to the use of technology in distance learning & university teaching. Interest in collaborating both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning. Must value continued scholarship and service to the school and university.
