Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate in social work or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent accreditation and a Master's degree in social work from an accredited social work program. Extensive MSW and BSW accreditation experience. A record of teaching and scholarship suitable for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a department chair or administrative position with creative program and curriculum development experience.

Other Information:
The Division of Social Work has accredited MSW and BSW programs.
Position will be filled pending budgetary approval.
Appointment will be made at a faculty rank commensurate with the candidate's experience on a 12-month multi-year appointment basis available August 2010.

Your initial assignment will include teaching, at both graduate and undergraduate levels; course and/or curriculum development; research/scholarship; involvement on College and University committees and/or initiatives; as well as duties as assigned. Duties
Reports to the Dean of the College of Professional Studies. Chairs the Division of Social Work in the College of Professional Studies. Articulates the needs, problems, and views of the faculty to the College Dean and other administrators. Assumes leadership in the accrediting process, curriculum development and assessment. Represents the Division in the surrounding communities. Collaborates with other departments within the College of Professional Studies and the university. Mentors faculty and maintains a successful scholarship agenda. Uses and integrates technology in the program and is committed to diversity and student success.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge and experience with the accreditation process. Extensive knowledge and experience writing grants and acquiring external funding. Demonstrated record of excellence as a leader and as a scholarly publisher. Demonstrated record of excellence as a leader and as a scholarly publisher. Values continued scholarship and service to the college and the university. Ability to work successfully with a diverse faculty and students. Ability to work as a collegiate team member. Ability to collaborate both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning.
Experience or commitment to the use of technology in distance learning & university teaching. Interest in collaborating both within and outside the University in the development and delivery of instruction resulting in improved student learning. Must value continued scholarship and service to the school and university.
