About the Position:
Federal employees seeking CTAP/ICTAP eligibility must submit proof that they meet the requirements of 5 CFR 330.605(a) for CTAP and 5 CFR 330.704 for ICTAP. Qualifications:
General Schedule
* Basic Requirements Degree: MD or DO from a school in the U.S. or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicants graduation. A MD or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school that provided education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States may be demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) (or a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country). Graduate Training: Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree, a candidate must have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in an institution accredited for such training. Creditable graduate training programs include only those internship, residency, and fellowship programs listed in the Directory of Residency Training Programs and the Yearbook and Directory of Osteopathic Physicians. GS-12, 2 years of graduate training or equivalent experience and training. GS-13 - 3 years of graduate training or equivalent experience. GS-14 and above - In addition to the requirements for GS-13, 1 year of appropriate experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. Specialist Positions: GS 13, 3 years of residency in the specialty of the position to be filled or equivalent experience and training. GS14, 4 years of residency in the specialty. * The initial length of this overseas tour is three years.
* Pay retention may be offered to successful applicants for positions at overseas locations. For this provision to apply to employees already overseas, the selected individual would have to require a permanent change of station move and would have to be selected as a result of a recruitment effort that had been extended outside of the overseas command involved.
* Please note that active-duty military members are eligible to apply no earlier than 120 days before their separation or retirement date.
* Permanent Change of Station/Relocation expenses may or may not be authorized.
* Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required.

* Child Care Criminal History background checks may be required prior to movement to position.
* Personnel security investigation may be required.
* Position may be designated as Emergency Essential.
* A medical examination may be required.
* Immunization screening may be required.
* This position may be required to comply with the Drug Abuse Testing Program.

* Must provide documents for credentialing for health care positions.
* Must have a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or a territory of the U.S.
* All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training and certification Current Advanced Life Support of other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
* Documentation to support Military Spouse Preference needs to be submitted at time of application.
* Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
* Direct Deposit of Pay is Required.
