Duties:
Provides a full range of behavioral medicine/health psychology services to beneficiaries within the Army Health Care System as a staff psychologist for. This includes the psychological assessment, psycho-diagnostic evaluation, and psychotherapy of patients. Provides supervision for residents and paraprofessionals. Plans, implements, and evaluates activities performed within the behavioral health. Provides clinical guidelines for the selection of patients. May plan and manage allocation of staff and resources. Incumbent may have responsibility for the training of interns, residents, postdoctoral and pre-doctorial students in the specialized area of military psychology, primary care psychology and brief psychotherapy models. Plans and supervises the work of masters/doctoral interns and residents assigned to the service. Plans presentations and lectures as part of training of postdoctoral students, physicians, and interns and presents lectures to students. Other duties as assigned

About the Position:

Basic Requirements:
Applicant is required to satisfactory complete all of the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

LICENSURE:
All Applicants must be licensed as a Psychologist by the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. List the type of licensure you possess and from where it was obtained. Failure to do so will result in non-consideration of your resume.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Applicant must also possess one year of specialized. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically related to providing treatment and consultation services to clients with a wide range of emotional/mental disorders, emotional disabilities and/or other psychological deficits. Performs individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy for patients, as well as assessment and treatment of individuals while in initial treatment, undergoing rehabilitation, and during follow-up care. Is Responsible for assessments, interpretations, decisions, recommendations, in the specialized area of clinical psychology, using psychological theories, models, techniques, and practices.
