Duties:
Serves as a Practical/Vocational Nurse in one of several areas within a Medical Treatment Facility, i.e. hospital clinic/ward, Oper Room ER; Clinics such as Outpatient, Occupational Health or similar locations.
* Responsible for a variety of treatment procedures and the nursing care provision to patients of all ages scheduled for treatment of illness, minor surgical procedures, preventive health care, and/or pre/post operative care.
* Prepare and administer prescribed meds or immunizations and monitors patients.
* Administer prescribed oxygen and respiratory therapy treatments.
* Initiate IVs, draw blood; collect & prepare specimens such as routine urine, stool, sputum and cultures for lab analysis.
* Assists physicians during diagnostic, therapeutic and/or minor surgical procedures by preparing necessary supplies & equipment.
* Maintain adequate supplies in-patient care areas.
* Perform other duties as required.
About the Position:

* Basic Requirements:
PRACTICAL NURSE: Currently licensed to practice as LPN/LVN in a state or territory of the US or DC. Qualifying experience includes nursing care work in a medical facility that has provided a practical knowledge of human body structure and sterile techniques & procedures in one or more of the occupational specialties listed above.
LICENSURE: All applicants MUST be a licensed nurse by the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands. Be sure and state the type of licensure you possess and from where it was obtained. Failure to do so will result in non-consideration of your resume.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position as listed in this announcement in one of the above occupational specialties.

Work may require long periods of standing/walking; positioning patients may require awkward working positions.
* 25% COLA will be added to base salary for Hawaii & Alaska; appropriate overseas COLA may be added to base salary for overseas
