Duties:
Coordinates all Medical Soldier Readiness Processing (Medical SRP) in support of the Fort Riley Power Projection Platform (PPP) mission. The Medical SRP mission during current operations will process an average of 200 Soldiers a day with a maximum capacity of 300 Soldiers per day. Supervises a staff of medical and clerical personnel responsible for providing pre-deployment medical SRP screenings, post deployment SRP screenings, annual SRP screenings, medical referrals, physical examinations as requested, and immunizations. Provides a full range of emergency services or crises interventions in the absence of the physician. Writes prescriptions, orders the administration of medications, and dispenses medications. Orders laboratory tests, X-rays, etc. Plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates the ongoing effectiveness of the Soldier Readiness program. Remains abreast of current regulations and directives pertaining to various aspects of Soldier readiness management.

This position is located at Irwin Army Community Hospital, Caisson Hill Road, Fort Riley, KS.
In this position you will perform a variety of duties in support of the Medical Soldier Readiness Processing mission.
NOTE: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and as a Nurse Practitioner in a state or territory of the Unites States. Your resume must document licensure. Must maintain certification by a national certifying body as appropriate for their specialty area of practice-American Nurses Credentional Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

BASIC REQUIREMENT: A)Education: Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: In addition to meeting the basic requirements above, applicants must possess formal education and training as Nurse Practitioner from a program that is recognized by a national professional body and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized experience is further defined as experience involving the management and overall responsibility for the planning, analyzing, coordination of all portions of the Soldier Readiness Processing mission which involves performing a variety of duties involving the full range of activities including assessing, planning and evaluating and modifying the treatment of patients. Your resume must document knowledge of a variety of diseases and injuries and determine treatment plans, prescribe medication, performing medical histories and examinations, and coordinating a large scale medical program or other work typically in or related to the position being filled.

- All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Training and certification Current Advanced Life Support of other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
