Description
Frontier Technologies is a seeking a Network Administrator to join our growing company. The Network Administrator will be the focal point of providing day-to-day support to both data and voice customers. Additionally, a network administrator will be expected to assist and lead in the design and implementation of network solutions. Qualified individual should be both technically and strong interpersonal skills to present in front of a customer.
This position will continue to grow and the right candidate will have the ability to influence the development of a team.
Requirements
Qualified applicants will have the following experience:
2+ years industry experience
Knowledge of network technologies, to include TCP/IP, routing protocol (OSPF, RIP,BGP) and layer 3 switching
Knowledge of major industry manufacturers to include Cisco,3Com, Alcatel-Lucent
Capable of installing, configuring and troubleshooting network solutions and systems for both Level 1 and Level 2 situations.
Knowledge of network design and implementation strategies, to include cable management and system selection.
Capable of speaking confidently in front of a customer to present both a proposal and answer questions immediately.
Willing to cross-train or support systems administration in a Microsoft environment when necessary.
Additional skills desired:
Knowledge of VoIP, Wireless and Network Security
Experience configuring and supporting Cisco Call Manager or other telephony solutions
Certifications should include:
CompTia A+
Cisco Certification (Data and/or Voice)
Microsoft certification a plus
