Friends University seeks candidates for the position of Associate Director of New Student Orientation who will plan, facilitate and assess New Student Orientation for students, both on-ground and on-line, in all three University colleges [College of Business, Arts, Science & Education (CBASE), College of Adult & Professional Studies (CAPS), and the Graduate College (GRAD).]

This position will perform the following duties:

• Plan, facilitate and assess Orientations for CBASE, CAPS, and GRAD.
• Supervise the Student Affairs coordinator.
• First Year Mentors (FYM): Advertise, interview, select, train, assess, and mentor.
• Collaborate with CBASE and CAPS First Year Experience faculty.
• Support other University programs and committees.
• Represent Assistant Dean as needed and requested.

A master`s degree in a Student Affairs related field is required. Two years similar or related experience required. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. The ability to motivate or influence others is material to the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and externally) is required. A strong working knowledge of online orientation and college student development theory is required. Banner skills preferred
