Job Description:
Position is for a Transportation Manager to lead a regional effort to expand our company's presence and service area in the central and northern Texas region. Applicant should be career minded, goal oriented and self motivated.
Job Duties:
Activities will include project management, marketing - to include soliciting local and regional clients, projects and staff; increasing staff size and capabilities as opportunities develop, expanding market base, and the overall administration of Transportation Engineering services in Texas.
Qualifications:
BSCE Civil or related degree minimum; 5 years of project management (in responsible charge) of engineering projects related to transportation. Must have significant experience in the planning, design and construction support of roadways, municipal streets, highways, or State funded roadway improvement projects and designing plans and specifications to local or D.O.T. standards. Candidates must possess a working knowledge of the AASHTO Green Book, Roadside Design Guide, knowledge of AASHTO Codes, Advisories and Guidelines. Knowledge of TxDOT procedures and staff a plus. Applicant must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and be committed to work as a member of a highly productive design team. Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, and/or AutoCAD and with computer use of Word and Excel.
