Reliability (Maintenance) Engineer

• Responsible for failure analysis system and PM improvements
• Design out equipment failures
• Help coordinate some job assignments for maintenance and outside contractors during shutdowns
• Help improve equipment utilization and implement supplier recommendations
• Develop maintenance systems that reduce maintenance costs
• Implement new maintenance technologies and methods.
• Interface with operations group to assess maintenance improvement opportunities
• Help implement root cause failure analysis, manufacturing work systems, basic care and precision maintenance techniques.

• Informing:  Must have good oral communication and effective written skills to inform people of what is needed to do their jobs and feel good about being a member of the team/organization.
• Customer Focus: Acts with customers in mind, both internal and external. Understands the details of maintenance.

• Orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal.

Planning:  

• Measures performance against goals, sets objectives and goals, breaks down work into process steps.

• Spends time on whats important, eliminates roadblocks, creates focus, quickly zeros in on the critical few and puts the trivial aside

• Clearly and comfortably delegates both routine and important tasks and decisions, tends to trust people to perform, lets direct reports do their own work.

• Has patience to hear people out.

• Creates a climate in which people want to do their best, empowers others, and invites input from each person and shares ownership.

• Creates strong morale and spirit in a team, allows people to finish and be responsible for their work, defines success in terms of the whole team.

• Engineering Degree Mechanical or Electrical required
• Industry experience is preferred, but not required 
• Familiar with reliability systems
