Responsibilities: 

• Lead and manage the Parchment, Michigan manufacturing facility by creating an environment consistent with Georgia-Pacifics MBM (Market Based Management) philosophy
  
• Eliminating work place injuries and illnesses
  
• Increasing line ownership and responsibility
  
• Developing employee knowledge and skills
  
• Providing quality Dixie products to our customers
  
• Interact with plant employees and line supervisors
  
• Further develop and build team capability at all levels, while working directly with Dixie business representatives and extended members of the manufacturing team based in Atlanta, GA
  

The Plant Director is responsible and accountable for demonstrating MBM Guiding Principles, implementing Operations Excellence, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and G-Ps internal standards, and creating long term value for the Company, its employees and customers, and society as a whole.  This position reports to a Vice President of Operations, responsible for Dixie manufacturing.

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S. or higher in Engineering or related field of study
  
• At least 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  
• Two years of experience in converting with the technical knowledge of converting processes
  
• Experience implementing reliability strategies
  
• Experience developing capital programs to support business visions and market requirements
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Operations Management
  
• Demonstrated ability to create improved business results
  
• Experience with paper converting processes in a manufacturing environment
  
• Understanding of Georgia-Pacifics MBM philosophy
