Team Leader for Paper Machines 1/2/5 & Pulp Distribution GP Wauna Mill Responsibilities: - Provide leadership to inspire all within the organization to achieve the mills safety and reliability vision. - Accomplish improved performance through 100% compliance in safety and health, customer satisfaction, organizational effectiveness, cost management and asset availability. - Develop team to deliver world class results. Team consists of 62 employees operating 3 paper machines and a repulping area. - Drive process & equipment modifications that result in improved product quality, reduced variation and higher customer satisfaction (both internal and external). - Build organizational capabilities in Market Based Management so that superior value can be created through increased use of the Guiding Principles, 5 Dimensions, and Decision Making Framework. - Add value by facilitating the development and utilization of cost management tools for the Paper Machine and Pulp Distribution areas of the Mill. Improve the teams understanding of competitive position. - Facilitate the development and implementation of a sustainable skill development system that maximizes the capabilities of the operating teams. - Drive year-over-year improvement in operations productivity and net profit.
Basic Qualifications: - 3 or more years of Pulp and Paper mill leadership experience. - BS Degree in engineering or business is required. A Mechanical, Paper Science, or Chemical Engineering degree is preferred. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities:
- Demonstrated operational results showing YOY improvement. - Leadership capabilities to move an organization, presentation skills, and strong communication skills. - Experience in a Union environment is preferred. - Ability to demonstrate fundamental economic skills. - Interest and ability to take on roles of increasing responsibility and continue career growth.
